« About us »

The burden of mental health conditions including depression continues to rise globally. There are more than 264 million people in the world suffering from depression. Depression is the leading cause of disability and it causes more deaths than all forms of cancer, diabetes, infections, and lung diseases globally. The burden of depression and other mental health conditions continues to rise in Africa. However, mental health care has been mostly neglected in the African continent. There are effective psychological and pharmacological interventions for improving mental health. Our mission is to reduce the burden of mental illness and improve quality of lives.
